MAS FUSION is a voluntary family orientated community carnival group based on the Isle of Wight. The group welcomes individuals of all ages from across the Island and currently has approximately 70 members aging from 2 to 65 years.
Jill Wade-Smith and Sharon George two local Island artists and carnival enthusiasts formed MAS FUSION in 2005 as a result of their friendship and commitment to ensuring that everyone should have the opportunity to take part in carnival no matter what experience or skills they have.
MAS FUSION embraces inclusion through providing a range of opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved.
MAS FUSION gives local children young people and adults the opportunity to celebrate carnival through wearing elaborate costumes, dance, music and performance. Many people over the last three years have achieved life long ambitions, gained self confidence and self esteem, realised hidden potential and talents, made new friends and gained a sense of belonging within their community.
The group currently receives no funding to support their activities or costume making and so therefore raises all the funds necessary to take part in events through fund raising, donations, good will from local companies and by individuals paying for their own costumes.
We hope that you enjoy looking at our website and finding out more about the exiting work of the group.
If you want to know more and would like to find out how you could get involved contact Jill or Sharon.
We look forward to hearing from you.
